This is the One ? ...lol...

Today I was feeling a little down, there's a small misunderstand between me & my sister over something yesterday & I wanted to apologize. But I need to get to work early today. Well I texted her, but her reply was rather cold, so I'm just really concern. I had said something rather hurtful & I totally regretted it.

During lunch time, my boy friend appeared at my office. Yes the same one that gave me that book ...haha... He took me to a near-by TWIG restaurant & as we were about to order, my sister came in. How sweet, he has arranged for this as he knew it has been bothering  me big time. Suddenly it dawn on me this was my sister's favorite restaurant too. How sweet of him.

Her mood was almost perfect & everything is fine again. I don't even have to verbally said sorry, the action speaks louder than words. We had a great lunch. I went back to my office happy again. Later she texted me.

This is the ONE- don't scare him away ..... 😆

Hope you understand this reference: I love the Matrix trilogy!

Origin- Dan Brown's book as My Valentine's Present?

Sigh... Valentine's Day come & go so fast, it's as if it never happened. I looked at the book on my table , there it reminded me Valentine's day did indeed happened. The book was my gift from a new friend, yes it's a guy, we just met about a week ago. It's great, It'll be major awkward if it's some expensive jewellery. He was away & he actually arranged for a courier to sent me the gift- nice touch:) Sweet. A bunch of flowers would be too cliche at this point.

Besides I love books. You can tell a lot about a guy from the books he read. I once dated a guy whose favorite novel was Paradise Lost. No wonder the time we spent together turn out to be hell! His ex-girl friend stalk his FB & Instagram & leave seriously awful remarks about us. We practically talked about their relationship all the time because of that. It lasted 2 weeks.

Then there's one who claimed that "Of Mice & Men" is the best novel he had ever read! Now I thought, I've got myself a scholar right? No .... I later found out that's the only book he had ever read. And I don't think, he did finish it either. As my bestie actually took the time to actually read it & quiz him on it ...lol.... Yes she did, what a trouper - besides she had incentive, she hated him! 😆. Something about his eyes- she thought they were too big ....lol..

If you are wondering, yes I did date guys who don't read at all. They are fine. As long as they still browse through the news of the day on their cell phone & don't appear too boring & clueless. Yes I've dated both kinds before.

Yes this is the book, it's good :))

Do you like airline food?

So during lunch we were talking as usual about nonsense, then Lim started telling us how much he loves inflight food. We all go "WHAT ?????!!!!" All of us have never heard of or know anyone who likes inflight food. That's almost like a fact- sorry major airlines, don't mean to insult but that's like the truth.

Then he went on to wonder if he can have a second helping in the furure ....lol.... Hmmm... actually that's a good question. Do they give second helpings to "fans" like Lim? For all questions about airlines we usually consult Lisa, our colleague whose an Ex-stewardess. According to her, during her long career with the airlines (10 years), no one has ever requested for a second helping, and we all know why.  BUT having said that, she told us, there's always some extras. These are usually for the crew but if someone would to ask , nicely, they would comply.

Then Lim went" what if everyone ask for a second helping?" would that be enough? Lisa said that'll never happen! For  all her 10 years , no one wanted a second helping, so it's safe to say, besides Lim, no one will ask for more. Lim almost looked relief, it's so funny.

Well next week he's going on vacation, & we all know what's he's going to do onboard ! LOL....

Good values ....LOL

Have you ever been to a motivational talk? I have been to a few. My EX company sent us to lots of them. Maybe we were not doing so well & thus needed tons of motivation haha ... Anyway, I find the ones I've been to are mostly boring, the speakers don't seem too motivated themselves.😆

I just had lunch with my Ex-colleague who used to go to such talks. Over lunch we had a fun time recalling what happened. On hindsight, we did enjoy these talks, boring as they are, as it's a day off for us. There's a particular talk which stood out. The Speaker asked all of us to name the 'value' that we learned as a kid that we still treasure & live by today.

Everyone started looking rather panic as we have to name one. Thank God as in every situation, there's always someone who loves to be heard! That would be another of my ex-colleague, he saved the day, by volunteering to go first.

HE:  My mum told me, always leave a place better than you found it. For example, I would replace an empty toilet paper roll in the office toilet...........
........and before he could finish that, we were roaring with laughter !!!!!
And he didn't even know what happened !😆😆😆😆😆
